The entry requirement for this occupation is a bachelor degree or higher qualification. Registration or licensing is required.
Tasks Include:
provides treatment, therapy, clinical support, continuing care, residential support and rehabilitation services in collaboration with other health care professionals and carers
advises on structuring the environment to enable clients to lead normal, healthy, functioning lives
conducts comprehensive and specific mental health assessments and reports and evaluates interventions and health care services
administers, supervises and monitors medications prescribed and initiates appropriate interventions
maintains records of treatment and progress
delivers health education and health promotion programs
